Improvements To Tab Completion

UNIX tab completion is enviable enough that most Windows Command Prompt users love to hack their registry to get a poor substitute. But there's always room for improvement, even on Linux. Here are two minor enhancements.

To disable the system beep (which reminds me of DOS for some reason), add the following line to /etc/inputrc

set bell-style none

To print all possible matches when your entry has multiple matches, add this:
set show-all-if-ambiguous on

It's interesting how little additions like these add up and make one's machine feel like home.
